Every time quoting a project the landscape specialist want to know the answers for list of questions. They are good starting point for any dialogue between client and landscape designer. So the work gets off to the right start and ends up appealing for the short and long term.
- How many people reside in your home?
- Do you have any pets that spend time outside?
- Does anyone in your home have allergies?
- How long have you been in your home? How long do you plan to stay there?
- Are you considering any additions to your home?
- Have you ever used a professional service, such as an architect, engineer or general constructor? Any comments.
- Would you like to include garden structure into the design such as a gazebo, child’s play house or a garden shed?
- Do you need any additional space for parking?
- What is primary entrance to your home? Is this one you want the fiends and family to use?
- Are you familiar with any types of “hardscape” materials, such stones, brick, concrete, paves, etc.? Do you have any favorites?
- Do you have adequate storage for the following: bikes, sport equipments, garden tools, trash cans, outdoor furniture?
- Are any drainage problems that you are aware of? Do you have moisture in your basement?
- Do you prefer to spend your time outdoors in sun or shade?
- Do you like to grow vegetables or fruits? Cut floral garden? Herb garden?
- Do you like to spend 1 hour per week, 2 hours or more working on your garden?
- Do you want to have the floral beds with annuals?
- Do you know a location of your garden( South, North, East or West side)
- What are your favorite colors? Least favorite colors?
- Are there specific plants that you don’t like?
