Purple and red colors for the wedding.

Why do so many orders come with that request? I guess many answers may be given. Purple is the most powerful wavelength of rainbow, vibrant and rich color that shows the uniqueness and active personality. Meanwhile the purple color has long time history and tradition, for example Roman Emperors or privileged individuals could wear the purple cloths or accessories only.  It become the symbol of Pope and called “Imperial Purple”. Purple symbolizes magic, spiritually, creativity, mystery, dignity and royalty.

In floral market the selection of fresh cut flowers, available whole year around  is strong enough,  not counting for silk flowers as they can be created with any fantasy and wild imagination.

We recommend to check  the link http://www.sierraflowerfinder.com  and find out the available flowers in right purple tones.

Starting with simple but trendy now days Carnations the selection shows the variety for Mini Carnation in purple “ Barbara Mystic”, “Berry”,” Moonshadow”,” Negrita”, “Purple Spectro” and “Vega”.

And Standard carnation “Albrindi”, “Delfino”, “Evening”,  “Moonlite”, “Moonshade”, “Moonvista”, “Nobbio Violet”,” Nobbio Hard Rock”, “Pascal” and “Vanessa”. Carnation can be used as the filler flowers or in the round mono – bouquets.

Next common purple is  Lisianthus with very bright intensive” Excalibur Purple” or “Mariachi Blue”.

The most attractive and often used are tropical flowers as the Orchids. With purple small size Dendrobuims “Galaxy”, “Jury”, “Miss Siam” or “Supinya”  are the best choices. Big head Cymbidium Orchids as “Chiraz”, “Velvet Floss” and medium size “Fuss Fantasy” will make any bouquet outstanding.  To create the fresh, soft touch into a bouquet can be added the Cymbidium “Milkyway” that has white flowers and  purple lip.

Other orchids Cattleya Purple, Mokara or Vanda “Blue” are attractive too, but  with those flowers your florist must have the extensive technical skills.  I can’t miss few more tropicals Anturium “Rapido” and Tulip Anturium Purple. Elegant light purple tones will work effectively for cascade, teardrop or fancy style bouquets and table centerpieces.  Calla lily isn’t a tropical flower but it definitely unusual unique flower that shows in a bouquet.  Actually list of purple  calla lilies is quiet wide:“Barbados”, “Captain Prado”, “Captain Reno”,  “ Dark Lavender Novelty”, “Naomi”, “Odessa”, “ Paco”, “ Promise”, “Purple”, Purple Haze” and “ Ruby Lite”.

More floral ideas can be picked up if add to bouquet Anemone “ Mona Lisa Deep Blue”, “Mona Lisa Orchid” or “Marianne Pink”; the Gladiolas “ Blue Lagoon”, “ Great Lake”, “ Starry Night”, Alliums Purple  as well Decorative purple Kale ( Brassica)
